Nuri (KSLV-II)

KARI

South Korea's first wholly indigenous orbital launch vehicle.

Nuri (KSLV-II) is South Korea's first orbital launcher developed entirely with domestic technology. After a partial first flight in 2021, subsequent missions have been fully successful, placing satellites into low Earth orbit.

Fun facts
Nuri (KSLV-II) is the first Korean rocket built entirely with domestic technology — without foreign assistance.
South Korea joined the exclusive club of just 11 countries with their own orbital launch vehicle.
Nuri's main engines are clustered in a group of four smaller units — similar to the first stages of Falcon 9.
